What Are Your Rights When One or More Flights Are Cancelled Due to Force Majeure?

In this event, you are not entitled to compensation.
You Have Purchased Package Travel (Transport + Accommodation) And You Have Not Yet Departed
You are entitled to choose whether to receive a refund or postpone your travel.
You must contact the tour operator or travel agency. In the event of a dispute, you can complain to the Commission Litiges Voyages (Travel Dispute Commission).
You Have Bought a Plane Ticket And You Have Not Yet Departed.
You are entitled to choose whether to receive a refund or a ticket for a later date.
You must contact the airline or travel agent if the ticket was sold through them.
In the event of a dispute, if it concerns a flight departing from a Member State or from a third country to a Member State if the airline belongs to a European Union country, you can complain to the FPS Mobility and Transport.
If a travel agency is involved, you can complain to the Commission Litiges Voyages (Travel Dispute Commission).
You Booked Your Own Hotel Room Abroad or Hire Car and You Have Not Yet Departed.
You must cancel them as soon as possible. You must take a look at the contract conditions to find out the options for cancellation without compensation.
You Have Purchased Package Travel (Transport + Accommodation) And You Have Departed/Arrived at Your Destination.
You are entitled to free and appropriate replacement solutions so you can continue your journey and/or compensation for all the contract services not provided.
You are entitled to assistance from the tour operator. However, you may be liable for the costs incurred.
Nevertheless, for the flight, you must first contact the airline and you can claim the same rights as under the following point.
For services other than the flight, you must contact the tour operator or travel agency. In the event of a dispute, you can complain to the Commission Litiges Voyages (Travel Dispute Commission).
You Have Bought a Plane Ticket And Arrived at Your Destination.
You can choose a refund of the ticket without a fee, or a new return flight as soon as possible.
If you choose a new flight, you are entitled to free assistance (refreshments, food, two telephone calls) and accommodation if required.
