It often happens that a general "legal protection" insurance policy is taken out - also known as "Defence and Legal Action" - and that an individual benefits from "legal protection" cover in addition to other insurance policies.
The "legal protection" cover that you will find attached to another policy (car, fire, etc.) is linked to the scope of the latter. Consequently, it does not have as broad a scope as the protection guaranteed by the contract - autonomous legal protection which is intended to defend you in all your legal disputes.
Therefore, if you take out a legal protection insurance policy as such, it is advisable to check whether the "legal protection" components, present in other policies (fire, car, etc.), are still worthwhile. If necessary, request the cancellation of the cover.
