The "legal protection" contract - also known as defence and legal action - allows you, as a victim or liable person, to obtain reimbursement of your legal, procedural and expert fees when the dispute covered by the insurance contract is brought before the courts. In most cases, the insurer only intervenes up to a maximum amount.
Please note! Before making a purchase, always check the extent of the cover:
- what disputes are covered?
- what are the possible exclusions?
- what are the insured amounts, and are they capped?
- is there an excess applied?
You cannot take out insurance for an ongoing dispute, as the risk has already occurred. Check in particular the exclusions of the policy (the risks that are not covered, etc.).
