The event will bring together ministers from the 27 member states of the European Union, ministers from relevant third countries, as well as senior officials and personalities from the national and international political and academic sectors.
During the informal council, ministers will be invited to discuss one of the priorities of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union: the importance of smartening and reinforcing our energy infrastructures, and the challenges we currently face.
The informal council will include three plenary sessions, with a central focus on the planning, financing and timely delivery of a more integrated energy infrastructure. A working lunch on the resilience of our critical energy infrastructures and a cultural event at Flagey (Brussels) are also on the programme.
