The FPS Economy continuously monitors the Belgian market to ensure that the products brought to market and services offered meet the applicable safety requirements. Each year, it organises targeted monitoring campaigns in which FPS Economy officials examine the safety of a specific group of products or services.

If an inspection reveals that a product or service is unsafe, measures will be taken, taking into account the situation. These may include administrative sanctions (warning, withdrawal, recall, sales ban, destruction, cessation of activity, etc.) and legal sanctions (fines or conviction).

Interested in the latest final reports on the monitoring campaigns? You can find them in the 'Publications' section at the bottom of this page or on the respective pages for the products or services involved.
