eRegister: Belgian patent register
This tool allows you to consult the full patents in the Belgian patent register, as well as the bibliographical data and even the correspondence between the Intellectual Property Office and the patent grantees.
The register brings together data on the scientific or technological description of new technological processes or products, as well as Belgian supplementary protection certificates (SPCs) for medicines and plant protection products.
You can check whether there has been a prior registration for similar or related patents published in Belgium.
The consultation of the eRegister is free and prior registration is not required.

Espacenet : network of European patent databases
This online tool gives you access to more than 100 million published patent-related documents. It allows you to perform simple or advanced searches in different languages, thanks to an online translation service. The system uses a very accessible interface.
It is administered by the European Patent Office (EPO), in collaboration with the national offices of the EPO member states. Some national offices provide access to a wider range of publications.
The consultation is free and no registration is required.
Consult the Esp@cenet server of the IPObel. It contains all national patent publications from 1984 to the present.
Federated Register : European patent register of the EPO
This tool provides a unique access that leads directly to the online national patent registers of the EPO member states.
Bibliographic data and procedural information are available for all patent files, from the first publication to the grant of the patent. This register also contains many details regarding examinations, oppositions and appeals, which are normally only available through a consultation of the file.

Patentscope: patent database of WIPO
This database provides access to international patent applications on the day of publication itself and in full text, as well as to the patent documents of the participating national or regional patent offices.
Searches can be performed based on keywords, applicant names, international patent classification categories and many other search criteria, in different languages.
