The sui generis right for databases lasts for fifteen years, from the time when the database is completed.
If the database is only used internally, this period runs from the moment it is made available to the public, for example the moment it is marketed.
This period may be renewed with each new significant investment made for the modification of the database (for example, significant funding invested in updating the database).
