To ride a moped, you must be insured for civil liability for vehicles - this insurance is compulsory.
Please note! Class A mopeds are still subject to the insurance obligation even though they travel at a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
When the contract is taken out, and for its duration, you must correctly declare the risk.
If the engine is modified and the power is increased in such a way that it no longer corresponds to what was declared when the contract was taken out, nor to the technical characteristics of the vehicle, it is then a modified moped.
In such cases, you run the risk of a fine, as they are illegal.
Moreover, you also risk legal action by your insurer who, after compensating the victims, may claim repayment of its disbursements.
