Every self-employed person must join a health insurance fund of their choice.You must provide a certificate of affiliation from your social insurance fund proving that you are up to date with your social contributions.
Then, each year, after having checked that you are up to date with your social contributions for a given year, your social security fund will electronically send a "contribution receipt " to the Crossroads Bank for Social Security, which will in turn forward it to your health insurance fund, in order to enable the reimbursement of your medical expenses for the given year.
