Federal Council
The Federal Council maintains the list of expert surveyors who satisfy the conditions for practising the profession or for bearing the title. The Council decides upon applications for recognition as an expert surveyor. It verifies that the registered expert surveyors are following the deontological rules. It can impose sanctions on expert surveyors who do not.

The Federal Council of Expert Surveyors is responsible for drawing up a list of Expert Surveyors who agree to be appointed as co-trustees in the event of bankruptcy of an Expert Surveyor. This list shall also be kept in the central solvency register.

Federal Board of Appeal for Expert Surveyors
The Federal Board of Appeal for Surveyors deliberates upon appeals lodged by an expert surveyor against a decision by the Federal Board of Expert Surveyors.
