Aside from consultative meetings with contractors and concerned environmental non-governmental organisations, the Federal Public Service Economy, SMEs, Self-employed and Energy, in collaboration with the Federal Public Service Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment, the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, the Federal Public Planning Service Science Policy and the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, organises workshops and public consultations concerning deep sea mining.

01.07.2018 – 31.08.2018: Informal consultation on the environmental impact statement from Global Sea Mineral Resources (GSR) for the testing of collector components in its contract area.

05.06.2018: Workshop “Deep Sea Mining - Contributing to the elaboration of a Belgian policy”
