The Directorate-General for Energy regularly organises stakeholder consultations in order to keep all stakeholders informed of the latest developments of offshore tenders.
Public consultation
The Directorate-General for Energy organised a public consultation in 2022 on the competitive bidding procedure (tender) and the conditions for granting domain concessions for the development of the Princess Elisabeth Zone. The goal of this consultation was to receive feedback from the sector and all stakeholders on the proposed criteria for the competitive bidding procedure (tender) of the Princess Elisabeth Zone.
All parties involved – market players, environmental organizations, citizens and others – were invited to develop a solid proposal for the tender procedure. The responses were taken into consideration while designing the offshore tender for the Princess Elisabeth Zone.
The response period has since ended and the aforementioned public consultation has been closed.
Stakeholder conference
The DG Energy organised a stakeholder conference on 5 and 26 May 2023 and an industry info event on 5 July 2023.
