In the case of a separate travel service, you cannot assert the same rights that apply to package travel. Civil law, and in particular contract law, applies in these cases.
If you have booked a hotel via a booking platform, you need to contact the hotel operator in the event of problems. This kind of platform makes it easy for travellers to enter into a contract with hotel operators. The booking platform itself is not responsible for the smooth course of your stay at the hotel.
