If you have to defend your rights and you took out a legal protection insurance (sometimes called "defence and legal action"), your insurer will first examine the possibility of an amicable procedure.

If the amicable procedure fails or is not possible, the contract will cover your legal, expertise and procedural costs.

The insurer's intervention is often capped. The ceiling can be negotiated upwards, but your insurance premium will be correspondingly higher.

PLEASE NOTE: if, in the event of a dispute, you wish to appeal to your legal protection insurer, warn him from the outset of the dispute because, if you request his intervention while legal proceedings are underway, he may not grant your request if he did not have the opportunity to attempt an amicable settlement of the dispute.
