Table of Contents

    During its presidency of the Council of the European Union, Belgium will strive towards creating a European & worldwide market for hydrogen. Therefore, the Directorate-General for Energy of the FPS Economy will organize an International Hydrogen Colloquium for hydrogen experts from the public and private sector in Palais des Congrès in Liège on 16 February 2024. The evening before, there will be a networking event at John Cockerill in Seraing.

      All participants are invited to the networking event at John Cockerill on 15 February 2024 from 5 PM until 10 PM which will offer you:
      • a guided tour of John Cockerill’s hydrogen site
      • welcome speeches
      • a welcome drink and walking dinner
         
    • 16/02/2024 International Hydrogen Colloquium in Liège

    The Colloquium comprises of a combination of high-level speeches and workshop sessions. The workshop sessions will cover three subjects: worldwide hydrogen certification, financial and de-risking tools, and accelerating market development in Europe. Each session consists of two pitches, after which participants can give their input during a discussion guided by a high-level moderator. At the end of the day, conclusions from the workshops will be presented by the three moderators, after which Belgian Director-General for Energy Nancy Mahieu will conclude with a closing remark.
