Your rights as a passenger may differ depending on the type of travel contract you have entered into. Travellers who have booked a package travel enjoy the most extensive legal protection. Have you booked a linked travel arrangement or a separate travel service via an intermediary who also acts as a tour operator or package travel retailer? If so, you are not entitled to the rights that apply to package travel, but as a traveller you are legally protected in the event of the financial insolvency of the seller. 

Have you suffered a delay or cancellation of your plane, train, boat or bus? In such cases, you have rights as a passenger when travelling within, from or to the European Union, regardless of the type of travel contract you have entered into. As an air passenger, you are also entitled to compensation if your baggage is lost, delayed or damaged.
