The new law on itinerant and stallholder trade came into force on 1 October 2006 with the aim of responding to socio-economic changes and to offer sales people the means to run their business in a modern and efficient way.

Stallholder trade

Stallholding means the sale, offering for sale or the display with a view to sale of services or food to consumers as part of the operation of street stalls and public markets or fun fairs.

If a sales person does not comply with these terms and conditions, you can submit a complaint to the Directorate-General Enforcement and Mediation.

For questions or comments relating to municipal regulations, you should contact your local authority in the first instance. If you believe that the legal provisions on municipal regulations have not been met or if the agent fails to comply with municipal regulations, you can submit a complaint to the Directorate-General Enforcement and Mediation.
